1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.

1. In the QuickBooks Desktop Migration tool, click Browse.
2. Select your QBXML file.
3. Then click Open.
4. Open QuickBooks Desktop. 
5. Access the No Company Open screen.
6. Click Create a new company.
7. On the What does creating a company file require? screen, select For myself.
8. Then click Start Setup.
9. Access the Sign-in screen.
10. Go to the Sign in Later dropdown.
11. Select In 2 days.
12. Click OK.
13. In the migration tool, click Import. 
14. Choose the file location, name the file, and click Save.
15. Access the application certificate window.
